Lake Tanganyika is located within the Albertine Rift and is the longest lake in the world ( 676 km) .
It covers 32,900 km2 and has a Shoreline of 1,828 km. Maximum depth of 1,470m (4,820 ft).
The lake holds 18% of the world's available fresh water.
